In December, Ray sadly decided to hang up his chauffeur’s hat and keys so he could retire and spend more time with his family, on the golf course and choir.
Ray joined Flex-Able fifteen years ago, when Flex-Able was a very small chauffeur drive company operating from the office at Richard & Sarah’s home address. Sarah recalls that Ray joined as a stop gap and only envisaged driving for a few months. The months grew into years, as did the company and Ray’s involvement with F...lex-Able. With Ray’s experience he joined the management team and took on the role of Controller and Weekend Duty Manager.
In early December the team gathered to say “farewell” to Ray. During the evening many stories, experiences and tales were shared. The camaraderie that evening was great. Richard Vanbergen said “it was a great tribute to Ray that the team turned out at the end of a busy day to shake his hand and say good luck! We shared many laughs during the evening, remembering some of the funnier events experienced as a chauffeur drive operator.”
At the end of the evening Ray was presented with a certificate for a putter fitting with local golfing company, Acushnet. Ray has collected his putter and we hope that the many additional hours he now spends on the golf course, his handicap will be improved with his putter!
